A little bit of card craft

When I was in Wellington recently I popped into a craft store and picked up a card kit.  I’ve been wanting to have a go at making cards, but as I’m a complete novice, decided on a kit from Scrapbook Central.  The kit comes with card stock, stickers, paper, some wooden logos/words and some embellishments, along with instructions.

So this wasn’t too difficult – it was very much card by numbers, but it was really good to have a go.  There are plenty of extra bits in the kit so I can have a go at putting together a design by myself.

It was fun, and I’m going to keep going at this.  Now that I’ve done these cards too, I might just get on to that photo album project – which is major.  However it has given me some ideas and concepts to run with.

So here are the cards I’ve managed to make (out of the kit of 8).

My very first attempt! Some crooked lines and I realised I'd cut the paper in the wrong direction, but it turned out okay!

Card no. 2 where I paid a little more attention to detail!

My third card - each one was an improvement on the previous!
